The Cabins fulfilled many qualifications; single levels areas in which a 96 year old and a 74 year old with Parkinson could ambulate. There were abundant stairs, some steep, but there was always rails for support. The overall lighting was fair but it is a large cabin , not a modern beach house. One whole side is an enclosed porch which keeps light from entering the cabin. But what a porch with comfy seating and games of all sorts, which my family had a riot with. The fire pit is easy to start and wood is just steps away from the pit. The kitchen fits the cabin and is well equipped and large enough to hold 8 bodies moving about to make a meal.If you are here for an event the grounds are a photographers' dream, direct quote from our photographer. The property joins a parking lot, a highway on two sides but you wouldn't know it. We wished there were more trails within walking distance. Relaxing, beautiful and family friendly , ages from 7 months to 96 years, with room for everyone.

We LOVE Margaret’s place! It is both tasteful and welcoming! The family room, and the eating area, and the kitchen are all beautifully connected, and also tie into the screen porch in such a way that when I am cooking in the kitchen, I still feel connected to the rest of the family and what is going on. I love how open the kitchen is. I love that we can all easily fit around the ample dining table. The space between the table and the kitchen island functioned beautifully for our family to crank up the tunes and dance together. The fireplace is huge with a hearth that is perfect for sotting with your back to the fire. These cabins are magical, and I am so grateful for our time there!

This historic cabin was truly a gem for our stay. Be sure to read the history in the book! The property is really beautiful with lovely landscaping and the foliage was gorgeous. It’s fenced in which was perfect for our two rescue pups. There’s a distinct love and character to this home which feels warm and inviting with a quintessential mountain feel. The stone fireplace is amazing. My husband and I have stayed in many airbnbs and we typically gravitate towards staying in new places. There are few properties that we’d 100% want to return to but this is definitely one of them. Thank you, Margaret, for your intentionality in creating such a sacred space! We look forward to being back.

Margaret’s place was absolutely stunning and one of the neatest cabins we have been to. Great communication and lovely location by the lake! We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay!
