Billie was an awesome host. She made sure we had everything we needed and gave us some recommendations for activities to do. We will definitely be back again.
This review is for Billie as an excellent host. We were not able to stay past checking in as my baby had a reaction to the essential oils diffuser. But Billie went above and beyond to offer us alternative lodging. Going home was best for our family but Billie saw us all the way through with grace and understanding. We will happily stay at one of her properties in the future!
This bungalow is an older refurbished home with BIG windows overlooking the lake. Our first day we paddled the double kayak around the glassy lake...too cool to swim. We both got sick and Billie offered to bring TLC and cold medicine. It rained 6 of the 8 days we were there, mostly curled up on the couch reading books. The kitchen was well outfitted with cooking equipment, spices, coffee and some odds and ends. There was a nice welcome basket with goodies and a nice note from Billie. This was a delightful place even to be sick...the lake ever-changing, water skiers and a variety of birds. There is an awesome church, Centerpoint Church in Eatonville. We were able to drive up into the Mt. Rainier National Park and took some of the short easy hikes to waterfalls, magnificent even in the rain. There is a Mt. Rainier day hike book at the house which gives the information and difficulty of the hikes. One of the bedrooms is outfitted for kids and has some toys and books.
I booked the place last minute for Labor Day weekend. I loved seeing the sunrise and sunset over the lake. Billie is a wonderful host, with personalized and frequent communication. The double bed was extremely comfortable! Kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. Kayaking was a lovely bonus, although one day I refrained due to a large volume of motorboats/water sports on a hot sunny day. I would absolutely stay again!
We loved our stay at Billie’s place. It’s perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The lake is great for swimming. The house has everything you need. Billie was very responsive and she and her husband provided us with great tips and suggestions when we met them in person.

Born and raised in Washington, Hubby and I grew up in the same church and now live our lakeside dream and truly enjoy sharing it with others! A lazy day snuggled up lakeside with my adorable pup and a good book sounds pretty close to heaven to me:-) Hiking, kayaking, fishing, and exploring the gorgeous outdoors that this area has to offer all come in as a close second!
