Host rented out an additional room in the space to others *after* we checked in (and were told repeatedly we would be the only people there) and had left our belongings unsecured. And then didn’t tell us until hours later. Unsafe and unacceptable. Beware. We had rented all 4 rooms for 4 people and discovered late at night that while we were out at dinner he let these strangers into the space with our belongings.

We stayed just one night and were made to feel very welcome. Situated just a few hundred metres and a short walk from the centre of Epernay it's perfectly located for the sights. Despite being near a busy road it was extremely quiet inside and there is ample free secure parking within its own private courtyard. The room we stayed in was huge, almost an apartment. It was set off the communal dining area and had its own front door, the bedroom and bathroom are both modern, clean, bright and huge. Although simply finished there was a very comfortable bed fitted with good quality linen. The bathroom had a shower only no bath, but not a problem for us. Breakfast was a full continental selection, with a choice of cereals, coffee, teas and juice as well. Lots of fresh bread and croissants on the table along with a good choice of jams and marmalades. We would definitely stay here again and will re-book next time we visit Epernay to buy more champagne.
