Very quite and peaceful, Lots of walks and plenty of places to go to enjoy the countryside
It was a true home from home. You could tell it was a family home with things collected over generations, yet the hosts made it feel that it was also our home. Due to us being there over winter it rained a lot - but so it did everywhere else. Joseph was always very pleasant and helpful. The shops in the village were very good and it was easy to drive to Asda in either Omagh or Strabane. Asda and Sainsbury also do home delivery to the property. The internet worked well, (which was very useful as we were house-hunting). The only inconvenience was the oil water heater, which was temperamental when it was windy, however Joseph gave us clear instructions and it was easy to restart and only took literally seconds to do. This probably would not happen during stays during the rest of the year. In brief, if this is the area you want to visit, and you like staying in a lovely home, then choose this property. (The very best thing about the house is all the lovely pictures on the walls!)
Great place for a relaxing time. The area is beautiful. The place has everything you will need, is quiet and serene.
This was our second time staying here and we are keen to stay again in future. The house is situated in a stunning peaceful location with beautiful views of the hills yet is only five minutes drive from the town centre. The house itself is clean and well equipped and the hosts have been very responsive any time I have had a query. You are only a short drive from beautiful lakes and the Forest Park which is great if you have kids/dogs or just like to walk. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue if you are looking for a base to explore the surrounding area.
This is a great little place to get away from it all and experience Irish farm house life. We visited a local ogham stone, visited the Sperrin Lakes and went swimming. Perfect little vacation and very affordable. Thankyou.
