Oak View Lodge is what we expected. Inside it is a typical clean, neat, older style home with separate lounge, kitchen and dining areas and was entered from a large covered patio which looked out over vineyards. The bed was comfortable and electric blankets were appreciated as outside the evenings were chilly. It was enjoyable listening to and watching birds including many silver eyes in the bushes outside. It I felt like a home and had what we wanted including the provision of 10 litres of drinking water. There were two big cork oaks on the entrance drive which made us wonder who had the foresight to plant them and the back entry had a pair of tall cypress trees with merged canopies. It was nice to be met by the owner on arrival which was easily coordinated by phone message. We certainly enjoyed our 4 days and could have stayed longer. It was a great quiet retreat.

Jason was a very kind and generous host. He was always available and responded quickly to messages. The house is surrounded by vineyards for a most peaceful stay. It was clean and cosy with everything you need and more. The bed was very comfortable with an electric blanket for the cold winter nights. Jason went out of his way to accommodate me, he is a very kind and generous host. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Jason's place. The cottage was very peaceful, and very comfortable inside. Jason was a great host and always made sure we had everything that we needed. The location was great for exploring Riverland, with Barmera just up the road, and Berri only a 20 minute drive. There was also a local Fruit and Veg shop just around the corner, which was very well stocked and had great produce. We bought all our fruit and veg from there. The cottage is surrounded by grape vines, and there is a nice leafy green area in the back garden - where we ate lunch most days. The internet was fast and reliable. Totally recommend Jason's place - if we are in Riverland again we will be back!
