We had an amazing stay here for our group of 4 couples! I’d have to say the views were the best about this place but there was so much more! We enjoyed lounging by the pool everyday and hanging out in that area in general. We each had our own rooms and bathrooms which was great. We were just minutes from Skinny Legs which was one of our favorite restaurants. We got groceries at Love City Market and the kitchen was stocked with anything we needed to cook meals. Any minor issues we had such as a/c not working in one of the rooms was addressed immediately. Josephine brought us greens from her farm that were divine and we even drove over to check it out one day and she gave us even more greens! We loved her she was a hoot! All in all we are already looking to future stays here as we don’t think anything could top our stay here!

Beautiful place with an unbelievable view! Loved sitting by the pool and looking out over the island. Hugo and his family were very helpful and hospitable.

My husband and I have been visiting STJ off and on for 30 years. We have always stayed in Coral Bay, but have never had the opportunity to stay close to the East End. Hugo & Josephine’s beautiful Heaven’s Gate allowed us this opportunity and we hope to be able to take advantage of it again. The breezes from the East were glorious and the fact that you could have a drink while watching kestrels fly, turtles float and tarpon jump in the bay was extraordinary. Hugo and Josephine were fantastically responsive; our exhausted child managed to lock the house and car key into their bedroom on our first night and Josephine arrived within an hour (after 9:30 PM!) to help us. The fact that she is the proprietor of Josephine’s Greens, the local organic farm, was an added bonus! It didn’t hurt to be able to say “We’re staying at Josephine’s place” to our local acquaintances as well. If you choose to stay at Heaven’s Gate you won’t regret it. Enjoy!

Definitely recommend! The property looks like the pictures on the listing. Spacious house, lots of amenities and well stocked. The pool was very enjoyable and we spent a lot of time there. Hugo was always responsive to our questions and provided helpful local recommendations. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

The house was great, the view is incredible. super clean. We didn't have access to the downstairs bedrooms, seemed kind of strange but we were a party of two so I guess we didn't need them. The reason this wasnt 5 stars is becasuse around 920 am the cleaning crew arrived. check out is at 10. we were trying to enjoy our last hour there, packing up, getting showered, etc. and the cleaning crew comes in. I told them I really didn't like that, they didn't care. they stayed out of the bedroom and kitchen, but we felt rushed at the end of our trip and like we were being pushed out the door. when paying for a luxury experience, i expect to have the place until check out.
