We enjoyed our stay at Amy's place. We especially liked the pellet stove in the family room and the hot tub on the deck. Our only disappointment was the sound of traffic and the closeness of the other cottages.

Host was very attentive and helpful, even refunded me an accidental overcharge without me having to ask! The grounds were great, nice spot for walking the dogs. The cabin was cute and cozy; perfect home base for exploring New River Gorge.

The air BNB was fine overall besides a very loud and uncomfortable bed… However, upon checkout we were charged almost $40 for “pet hair” and a “stain on the bed sheets”. Disappointing for multiple reasons, as there was no receipt or notification for the charges. We were just charged and saw it on our credit card charges and had to ask why there were additional charges. Also disappointing to be charged for pet hair after paying so much for a “dog friendly” location. If the air BNB is dog friendly and doesn’t list any additional charges up front, it is disappointing for the owner to add charges afterwards for “pet hair” when it was listed as dog friendly and we are already paying extra fees… as well as not even given a receipt or notification that we are being charged extra.
