This is a cozy and warm cottage with a gentle contemporary feel to it. It has two en suite bedrooms with superking size beds which can be turned into twin beds (upon request). The kitchen, dining and living area are all open plan with a wood burning stove. The terrace is a part of a small enclosed garden, sheltered from the wind. Castletoun Spa (hot tub, sauna and outdoor shower) has to be booked in advance for an exclusive use (£30 per day). NO DOGS ALLOWED in this cottage. Although the cottage itself is in the middle of the village (with its numerous amenities i.e. restaurant, pub, pharmacy, a butcher, grocery store and health center), it is tucked away in a secluded private garden.

I booked this accommodation for colleagues working in the Area. Zuzana was an excellent communicator and her place was perfect providing everything the lads need when working from home. Will definitely re book with Zuzana f we are in the area again.

We loved The Tackhouse. It had plenty of homely touches, a lovely wee garden and more extensive shared gardens. Plenty of places to visit just a short car journey away. Food in The Blackadder Inn was lovely and not too expensive. Well stocked shop minutes away. Would recommend to anyone staying in this area.

Greenlaw village, pop.600, 1 church, 1 pub/restaurant, travelling post office, butcher, pharmacist, health centre, mini market, and children's playground, trout fishing in season, all within three minutes walk. More than 10 major Historic Houses and Castles within about 30 minutes drive. Edinburgh, one hour away, Alnwick and Holy Island little more. Golf, horse riding, shooting and fishing all available close by (Tweed and Teviot within 15 minutes). Sailing. Lovely gardens to visit, great cycling area, good walking, close to Southern Upland Way, beach walks 35 minutes away, Bird watching, Award winning restaurants in Kelso and Duns (each 8 miles). Cottage also good for sitting in for a week doing nothing!

We are 25 minutes away from two main train stations - Berwick upon Tweed and Tweedmouth (Galashiels). The trains from both stations go directly to Edinburgh Waverley Station.
