This is my 2nd stay here. Last trip was for 2 wks in spring, as was this current one. Purpose being to get away to relax, refresh & rejuvenate from hectic work/city life. To me, this is a sanctuary & haven. Frank & Maria are absolutely the sweetest and kindest people. They make me feel like family and they entrust me to be in the stalls to work with & enjoy the company of their ADORABLE (some of them can be stubborn though, hehe) highland cows and horses. He even took the time to teach me skills a rancher needs to do (becuz I am seriously considering moving to MT!) His property is located on a hill so the view from the deck is STUNNING (faces west overlooking valley) and the road off property is so void of traffic its like walking on a serene & tranquil trail. Perhaps extended stay may be challenging without kitchen for some, but it worked for me since I had a special diet and needed only the microwave and fridge to stock my own food & ate out. Will be returning of course!

Frank und Maria sind ganz toll. Das Zimmer und das Bad ist makellos sauber, das Bett super bequem. Es gibt jeden Morgen ein kleines Frühstück mit sehr gutem Kaffee was perfekt ist um in den Tag zu starten. Wenn man länger dort ist sollte man sich unbedingt Bannack anschauen die erste Goldgräber Stadt Montana's, die jetzt eine Geisterstadt ist. Philippsburg ist auch ganz toll und man kann überall gut wandern und laufen. In Hamilton gibt es alles was man braucht das ist 5 Minuten weg. Frank hat 3 Kühe und 5 ganz liebe Pferde die man von der Terrasse gut beobachten kann. Wenn ich wieder nach Hamilton komme werde ich hier sicher nochmal übernachten.

We had a great time at the Retreat. Frank made us feel perfectly at home, giving a lot of information and always helped out when we needed something. We really enjoyed talking to him and Maria. Getting to know Babette, Camilla and the rest of the "babies" was big fun.The two dogs are also lovely. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with the amazing view, either during daylight or stargazing at night. Cannot say enough good about Frank and the whole place. Having a little breakfast was also great. We definitively recommend the Mountain Retreat :-)

This was more than expected. Amazing price for the location and beautiful scenery. Frank and Maria were amazing and super helpful about any question or any need we had. The provide breakfast in the morning and offered to let us feed the animals. The recommend food place and activities. Definitely will be rebooking in the future! Thank you guys for helping make my vacation that much enjoyable.
