Ethical luxury would describe Bridge House in two words. The room was beautifully furnished with ethically and locally sourced items (eg Devon wool duvet - gorgeous), spotlessly clean, complementary drinks and mince pies on arrival, honesty box mini bar on the landing with sloe gin in a decanter.....i could go on, just all so lovely. Breakfast too a real treat - homemade baked beans, quality delicious ingredients. Plates and cutlery available if you wish to buy food and eat in, in the lounge at a table with log fire burning..... Right on cycle route 3 (with secure bike storage) also great base for lovely walks. Thoroughly recommend, oh and lovely hosts!

We loved our stay at The Bridge House. Caroline was a fabulous host and couldn’t have done anything more to make our stay as lovely as possible. She was flexible with check in and check out, we loved the room and breakfast and overall we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Staying at Bridge House is a truly wonderful experience. From the excellent characterful and top quality furnishings and refurbishment to the really tasty homecooked breakfast (including many original menu choices) to the friendly and engaging presence of Caroline - Bridge House is truly excellent. We cannot recommend it more highly. And there are the added bonuses of The Swan opposite (an excellent dining experience) and the interesting, quaint and historic Bampton itself. Book - you won’t be disappointed.
