The Stables was a perfect choice for me and my family to get away with my brother and his family. The kids had a great time running around the spacious house and we all enjoyed the hot tub (we weren’t quite brave enough to face the swimming pool!). The kitchen was well equipped, plenty of chilling space, and the beds were very comfortable. Lovely hot showers and great that everyone had their own bathroom. We had great fun cycling around Carsington Water and driving to the many sites nearby (we did Bakewell and cycled the Monsal Trail, and walked the Dovedale circular, which the kids loved). As other reviewers have said, The Miner’s Arms is an excellent place to have dinner with great food (amazing gyros), local beer and friendly service. We will definitely be back to explore the area for longer!

We had a lovely stay at the Stables, with 6 adults and 6 children. The Stables is spacious and we all agreed the pictures don't quite do it justice! The kitchen is well stocked including plates and cups for children. We didn't eat out but we did hire bikes and cycle around Carsington. A word of warning it is quite hilly! Thank you Carla for a lovely stay, we would love to stay again.
