Wonderful escape from a busy life. Very tranquil setting in a beautiful part of the Dordogne. Lovely spacious rooms, beautiful terrace out the back overlooking the meadow and pond which catches the morning sun. Very peaceful. Was great for a large family gathering for my mother’s 70th. The pool area has recently been renovated and has a lovely shaded area. The tennis court is quite near the road which you can hear but it’s not very noisy given all of the vegetation. Highly recommend staying here and will likely return. The host Jane was very helpful and very knowledgable about the area. She also connected us with an excellent chef for the week.

Le Bourdil Blanc was everything I had hoped for when I booked a place for a weeks holiday in luxurious surroundings to celebrate my retirement with my children, their partners and grandchildren. The house was very spacious, clean, comfortable and superbly equipped, full of antique furniture, games and books. Even on the hottest day, it stayed cool. We made full use of the large swimming pool and tennis court. Rackets and balls were provided as well as fishing tackle though we did not use this. There’s also an outside table tennis table. There are two barbecues, one at the front under shady trees, the other at the back overlooking the grounds and lake. The house is in a quiet location and we felt very secure. The hostess Jane lives in the grounds unobtrusively so is there to help with any advice or needs which she does with a cheerful smile and excellent suggestions. All in all it was a great holiday, one I would heartily recommend. Racketballs

Great late summer vacation in Dordogne, weather was perfect, not too hot in the evenings but warm enough to swim all day. House is great, there were only 4 of us so it felt very big but not overwhelming, very comfortable with everything you might need. Pool and tennis court were just what we needed and plenty to do in the surrounding area. Jane was a great host, very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions including organising our PCR tests.
