Just returned from our second visit to Rose Cottage. Our stay was very special, quiet and peaceful, very cozy. We didn’t want to come back. We had a very warm welcome from Kelly-Ann, a couple of bottles of wine, and plenty of logs for the fire. The place was spotless, warm and well positioned for some great walks. The Radnorshire Arms (just down the road) offered an amazing meal on Saturday night. We had our own garden with a fire pit and nice views. WiFi excellent, loads of DVDs to watch, bath and shower superb! Kelly - Ann was a very responsive host, available for any queries at any time. We can’t wait to come back!

Rose Cottage is a delight and a bit of a TARDIS!! Looks fairly small but the space inside has been so well utilised a and a surprising amount of storage. It was clean and felt cosy and was decorated well, with lots of lovely adornments from yesteryear. Kelly-Ann has thought of all the possible things you could need and made sure they are available. The wine, chocolate, dog treats and personalised welcome notice were a fab treat! So many board games and books available too. The area is peaceful and it was lovely to not hear traffic! The village pub was great and the locals are friendly and helpful, as was Kelly-Ann. We also got some good walks in but make sure you can map read or have offline map access on your phone as there is no phone signal. Lovely to be offline for a few days. The only downside for me was that the cottage backs onto a graveyard and whilst the windows are not that side I still found it a bit creepy but that’s my issue 😂

Really lovely spotlessly clean cottage. Felt homely and easy reach of beautiful walks. Local pub was great.

Had a fabulous week’s stay. The weather was very kind to us so this enabled us to go on lots of walks. Can highly recommend The Dolfor Inn in Dolfor excellent food and service but you need to book. Local pub is good but recommend you book as gets busy. We loved sitting in the garden with a glass or two of wine. The property was extremely clean, great showers and comfortable beds. We were very kindly given wine and chocolates on arrival plus tea bags, coffee , sugar and other bits and pieces. Little local shop if you need milk or basic essentials for a larger shop go into Knighton. Places to visit Croft Castle, Barrington Court and the fabulous Hergest Croft Gardens.

A beautiful place with some fantastic walks nearby. Great communication before, during and after. Nice pub down the road. Nothing to fault this place. Special nights by the log fire watching a few movies over a bottle of wine. Cooked breakfast looking out over the hills beyond. Will be back!
