Amazing accomodations! exactly as described and more! Our daughter loved the unexpected suprise of toys, which we forgot to bring! A lot of equipment in the shed which was so helpful! Beautiful cottage inside and out! Will definitely recommend to family and friends and would give it a rsting higher than 5 if i could.

Peaceful location on the river in a quiet private neighborhood. Convenient to all planned activities. Rode our bikes 2.5 miles from the cottage to the White Pines Rail Trail off 23 Mile road west of 190th Avenue--NOT marked so look for it about 1/4 mile BEFORE Northland Road. Loved our ride into Northend Riverside Park. Hiked some lovely multi-loop trails in the White Pine Valley Recreation area off nearby Hoover Road. Also explored a small segment of the Newer Dragon Trail (around Hardy Dam Lake) for mountain biking and hiking at Newaygo State Park. Lovely shaded views of the Lake and a small cove beach for swimming. We also rented double kayaks through Sumpter Kayaks now located at the old Sawmill next to the Gypsy Nickel Restaurant in town. Cooked most of our meals and were able to make do with what was available. Suggest providing non-stick spatula / utensils for the new Green pans. Plenty of dinnerware for the four of us. Loved the dual shower heads! Would love to return!

One of the most relaxing and comfortable places we’ve rented, and so convenient. Everything I thought of, I looked and found available in the cottage. The setting is beautiful and relaxing, the kids enjoyed the tire swing and hunting for fish. We played all of the provided lawn games and even taught the kids how to use DVDs…the lack of Wi-Fi was preferred in this booking for us because we were looking to disconnect from work but we had spotty cell service through Verizon that allowed us to still feel safe enough to make a phone call if needed. Highly recommend this cottage if you want to connect with family and truly relax.

Es war so unglaublich.Natur pur und dann noch Kajak fahren, ein Traum. Eine wunderschön eingerichtete Cabin, die nichts vermissen lies. Das allerbeste, ein selbstgepflückter Blumenstrauß. Vielen Dank, mehr geht nicht.

The house, river, and wildlife was amazing! We had a great stay and hope to come back again! The place was just as described and neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The only thing I wasn’t entirely prepared for was lack of mobile coverage in the area. T-mobile was only 1 bar which is basically only the ability to send and receive texts sporadically. We were able to get full coverage a couple miles down the road so that’s helpful. If you think of this place as “off-grid” it might help mentally prepare everyone in your party. That said, it’s worth it to lose the shackles of technology for a few days and just be with yourself and loved ones.
