The twelve 5 Star Scandinavian Log Homes at the Dorset Resort are made entirely from trees grown in the Nordic forests of Finland and available to rent from 2 days to 4 weeks. With 2 ensuite bedrooms, a further bed with bathroom and 2 sofa beds the house is equipped to sleep 7 comfortably. Open plan living with fully equipped kitchen, linen and towels included for an easy break. A built in sauna adds that extra element of luxury with complimentary use of the Resort fitness suite. The 5 Star Scandinavian Log Homes at the Dorset Resort are made entirely from trees grown in the Nordic forests of Finland, these houses create a unique healthy living environment because the wood “breathes” whilst at the same time being a better insulator than brick. The homes combine simplicity with luxury, the natural oiled pine floors, walls and ceilings create a remarkably relaxed living space and all the furniture and fittings are of very high quality. People are able to rent periods from 2 days to 4 weeks in these wonderful homes to spend quality time in this picturesque area of Dorset. The houses are set in a quiet woodland glade surrounded by stunning fir trees and wonderful wildlife, birds, Butterfly’s and animals abound in this forest setting. The 12 homes are all furnished to the same high standard each featuring a Log Burning Stove, Balcony and Private Sauna to relax and unwind. A truly tranquil and unique experience for a family holiday!

Very good value for money. Went away with 4 lads and had a very good time. The lodge itself contains everything you will need for the duration of your stay. Kitchen was well stocked with all utensils (didn't need the frying pan i brought along!) Decent sized TV, WIFI was abit slow but definitely usable. Very quiet area, BBQ area was a 2 minute walk away from the lodge with a few benches next to it. Also a nice touch having football goal posts which we took advantage of. Very nice lodge will definitely be coming back.

The lodge is situated in a peaceful, secluded location which is part of East Dorset Golf Club. The property is spacious , clean and very well equipped including a thoughtful welcome pack (tea, coffee, washing up liquid, tea towels, towels etc) it is worth noting that the property is also equipped with a cot, High chair and stairgate making it baby and toddler friendly. The beds and pillows were super comfy , too often not the case! Showers were always hot. The host, was prompt in responding to any of our questions. The property is remote, which was perfect for us, but you will need transport. It is a great base to explore the local area - roughly 20 mins to Lulworth Cove and Durdle door. Also close to Tyneham Village (deserted village since World War Two ) Wareham village, with shops restaurants and a river running through is only a few miles away. We enjoyed our stay here and would happily recommend it to anyone in the future and would return.

Centrally located and next to Dorset's main attractions - Monkey World, Tank Museum, Durdle Door and lots of Beaches.
There are lots of walking and cycling trails around, Wool Train Station is a few miles away which is a main line running from Weymouth to London Waterloo. Car transport recommended but Taxi's are available.
