I’m traveling many times in to The Gambia, so this place is really amazing 🥰 the garden is wonderful and the pool perfect. James and Ibrahima with his family are very friendly and helpful people 🤗 thank you so much, we will definitely come back

This place is really a very nice place to stay while you visit Gambia, you really get the privacy they promise, a local Gambia family lives at the condo whom are responsible for the security and gardening. Another Gambia guy will pick you at the airport, and he will arrange anything you need, and is also a perfect guide when you want to do a trip. The condo is in Bijilo area, not far from the beach, but a 10 minutes walk is slightly underestimated in my opinion, but the beach itself is very nice, if you want to go the beach once. The Senegambia strip is only a few minutes by taxi. The garden is in good condition, with a swimming pool which is very big and cool and maintained everyday and you don't need to share it with other people. Sunbeds and umbrella's are available, although due to the moving sun we needed to move the sunbeds very often to get into shade, which is no-one to blame I think. The appartement were clean and decently equipped with a bathroom, with toilet, hot water shower and a sink.The bedrooms have enough storage a good bed and air conditioning. The Kitchen is very well equipped, it has everything you need, we even tried the bbq. We didn't meet the host Annie in person since she does not live in the Gambia, but I liked all contact I have had with Annie she provided us with a lot of information in advance, and I felt that she really wanted us to have a pleasant stay and instructed the local team to make that happen, I know she checked with them everyday if we we doing well. I really do recommend this place, I have had a much better experience than staying in a hotel/resort.

Die Lodge bietet genau das , was man als Individualreisender sucht: Ruhe und Ungezwungenheit. Sehr gut ist , dass man die Unterkunft für 4 Personen allein buchen kann. Der große , gepflegte Pool garantiert dazu einen entspannten Aufenthalt. Bei Rückkehr nach Ausflügen freut man sich auf auf diese einzigartige Oase. Das für die Lodge verantwortliche Hausmeisterehepaar Ibramah und Fatou kümmert sich rührend um die Außenanlage, auf Wunsch wird auch die Wäsche gewaschen. Das Beste an unserem 3,5 wöchigem Aufenthalt war aber CHARLES. Er stand uns zuverlässig zur Seite und hat uns bei allen Besorgungen begleitet. Perfekt war seine Organisation zu unserem Wunsch , einen Trip ins Hinterland Gambias zu machen , um Land , Leute , Flora und Fauna kennenzulernen. Und das ist ein MUSS ! Er war stets sehr freundlich bemüht unsere vielen Fragen zu beantworten und unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen: Reis zu ernten, Maniok -Cassava zu ernten und zu kochen , Erdnüsse zu ernten. Als vielreisende Familie , aber das erste Mal Afrika besuchende Urlauber bleibt uns nur zu sagen : es war ein sehr beeindruckender Urlaub in Gambia und die Lodge hat uns alles gegeben , das er auch erholsam für uns war. This is an oasis, we went in December and really booked at the last minute, We arrived at the airport where Charles met us and from there on in everything was perfect. Please remember this is the Gambia if you are looking for a very high-end resort style home this isn't it, but if you are looking for a place to really get away from it with all the essentials you need for a relaxing stay then this most certainly ticked all the boxes for us. The whole place was meticulously clean the rooms were comfortable and the aircon worked and the pool area was amazing and the kitchen and dining block had all the essentials. The staff did everything they could to make our stay wonderful and Charles the driver was great at offering us advice and running us around in his taxi. We have been to the Gambia 3 times and stayed at the best resorts none of which left us with the same feeling of total relaxation and freedom that we felt here. A big thanks to all. Steve and Jo
