Secluded lodges on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Spectacular sea views over the forest to the beach, machair and Atlantic ocean. There is a wealth of wildlife including the UK's smallest bird the goldcrest and the UK's largest bird the white-tailed eagle. Deer are also known to graze outside your window. Soak in the ever-changing view from your freestanding bath, relax amongst the forest from your private balcony and unwind by the wood burning fire whilst enjoying sensational sunsets... An idyllic couples retreat to relax and unwind. Many of our guests choose to take their honeymoon with us or celebrate anniversaries and special occasions. Each cabin has a comfy king size bed with luxurious cotton sheets. The bedroom opens up to a balcony with table and chairs so you can have a morning coffee in the fresh tree and sea air whilst listening to the birdsongs, or enjoy a wee dram of downpour gin in the evening. The summer sunset skies are magnificent and in winter the stars are tremendous and there is a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights too. Your cosy living room has a reclining sofa by a real wood burning stove and big windows to gaze out across the forest. The kitchen is well equipped for your stay with a cooker, hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Your bathroom has a shower and free standing bath. The windows from each room allow you to keep watching the ever changing view of the tidal sands. We do offer three night stays in the winter months, but our lovely guests always say they wish they had stayed longer! If you love the outdoors and taking it easy in nature, there is a lot to explore in our area and we would thoroughly recommend staying for at least a week to make the most of your time here. Our summer stays are minimum seven night stay, with check in to Cailleach-oidhche (owl) on a Saturday and to Damh (stag) and Iolaire (eagle) on a Friday. We hope to welcome you to North Uist soon, Kathryn & Angus
The most incredible location to possibly have a tree house/cabin, an overall incredible stay in one of the nicest cabins I have ever been in. couldn't have asked for a better host than Kathryn.
The most peaceful and beautiful place. The treehouse is superb- even though the photos are great, when we arrived, we thought it looked even better. It has the wow factor. Kathryn and Angus were lovely and friendly and helpful. They'd thought of everything. Many lovely touches right down to the small details. This place is worth every penny and has a real luxury feel. The view is beautiful, one you could watch all day. Our only sadness... that we didn't have longer to stay given our schedule. We didn't want to leave!
Such a lovely, peaceful little place close to incredible beaches and wildlife. Thanks Kathryn!
Our best Airbnb so far! The cabin is really stunning with an amazing view to relax next to a wood burning stove. The location was great as it allowed us to do several walks/hikes very nearby and to discover North Uist which is now our favorite part of the Hebrides! On top of that Kathryn and Angus welcomed us with lots of great tips and some delicious local Gin in the fridge that were really thoughtful. Thanks for everything. Nezha & Sam
Our location is unique in the Outer Hebrides for it’s mix of forestry and long sandy beaches.
Nestled within sheltered forestry yet having magnificent views and access to Claddach Vallay strand and Vallay island, the stunning machair, beach and ocean. This is a designated National Scenic Area and really is a joy to explore. You can find out more https://www.visitouterhebrides.co.uk/our-islands/isles-of-north-uist-berneray-and-grimsay

自我介绍
Angus and I were born and raised on the islands and have a genuine passion for the truly stunning local area, amazing variety of wildlife and wealth of outdoor activities. I spent as much of my childhood as I could with my native Highland ponies, sheepdogs and hens on the family-run croft, a type of smallholding unique to Scotland. Angus grew up addicted to the water and pioneered some of the best surf spots around the islands at a time when very few locals surfed or visitors knew to come all the way to the Outer Hebrides. North Uist is rich in Gaelic language, music and culture. Gaelic is Angus's first language and you are very likely to hear the language being spoken in the local area. When I’m walking along and a pair of white-tailed eagle circle over my head or an otter tucks into his catch on the shore, I’m reminded of how fortunate I am to be here. We want to share the best the area has to offer with people who want to explore and appreciate the spectacular wildlife and environment here, all our guests say how they wished they had planned to stay for longer!
