I’ll start with the good. This is our 6th trip to Maui and each time we’ve stayed in The Banyans. The condo units are generally very peaceful and all the units face the water, which is a huge plus. The grounds are very well taken care of, and very friendly. Maalaea is kind of in the middle of everything; easy distances to Kihei and other towns. A short walk up 5-6 blocks to the Harbor and you’ll be in some shops and a great ice cream place we love. As for the condo, the photos when we reserved the unit didn’t match what we had when we arrived. Close-ish, but things had changed. Not a negative, just we’re expecting something else. The condo was clean on check in and for the most part had everything the ad described. The view is fantastic and it’s a great value. The frustrating parts were the communication with the management company. Internet was not good and the roof leaked onto the kitchen island.

Our family had so much fun here! Perfect location away from the main crowd and it was the best place to watch sea turtles from the balcony!!

The condo looked like the pictures; however, it looked far more dated in person. The upstairs shower was way too small and the AC UNIT (singular and not central air) is on a two hour timer. Not much around the location and you must have a car to stay in this area. I did have an issue, after checking in, and someone called me to the next day, I advised of the issue (very small), and they they had it resolved before I got back to the condo…thank you! Beach chairs, towels, cooler, and everything you really needed for indoor and outdoor.
