We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights in Orkney, made even better by staying at Simon’s very comfortable, spotless and conveniently located house. It had everything you needed and more. We were very grateful for the extras he provided eg milk, duck eggs, and other local treats. Highly recommend this airbnb.

This was an excellent place to stay. The whole house is really well equipped, warm and comfortable. But I have to mention the kitchen, it was brilliant. I have never seen such an amazing range of sharp chef's knives in a self catering situation! Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the quality of the linen and towels was great. Simon was the best host. He is full of information about the locality and replied promptly to any questions we had. I would highly recommend a stay at Jorvik.

Simon's place was absolutely perfect for me and my partner. The house was spotless with excellent facilities. We stayed 8 nights and wished we could have stayed longer, the location was absolutely perfect for exploring/dinner in Kirkwall and all the ferries to the various islands and exploring the mainland itself. I'd love to come back in future with family. Simon himself is a wonderful host who cannot do enough for you, even when we fell into a bit of car trouble, he did his utmost to help us out. Would highly recommend Orkney and Simon's place in particular.

This house is great base for exploring Orkney. It is spacious and comfortable, clean, and the furniture and fittings are new. It's 10 mins walk to Lidl or Tesco, 15 mins to the centre of Kirkwall, the bus station or ferry terminal. Simon, the owner, is very welcoming, and always available to help if anything is needed.
