After some car trouble I was relieved to find out I was only a 15 min walk from the main bus station so could utilise the bus service for a few days easily. Both David and Shirley were lovely about my plans being disrupted due to the car issues and checked in with me periodically until I eventually made it a day later. a lovely welcome and ran me through everything clearly. I felt at home right away. The space for parking is ample, the shower is powerful and wonderfully hot straight away. I think the value is unrivalled and I really was sad to leave. You can bus easily to anywhere for £2, just plan the walk to the station and for the longest bus journeys, allow 2 hours each way, if visiting Keswick for instance. again £2 for one way so 4 hours travelling for £4 so excellent value. Thank you Dave and Shirley you have been wonderful hosts and I will see you again soon 😀

David & Shirley were excellent hosts. Extremely helpful & friendly. Location is So peaceful & full of nature. 20 minute walk into Kendal Town. 5 minute cycle. I would definitely recommend this place & would stay again in a heartbeat.
