The cabin was comfortable, peaceful, and had everything we needed to enjoy our time in Ponca. We loved being greeted by the animals (dog, mule, and chickens), and the nearby creek was peaceful. We were a short drive to canoe/kayak rentals, lots of hiking trails, and Elk sightings. For those who don’t know Ponca, it’s a tiny isolated town. Bring all the food and drinks you need for your stay. There’s a food truck (or 2), and the BOC has a deli. But everything shuts down by 5/6 pm (season dependent). The cabin has a full size fridge/freezer and indoor/outdoor cooking options (bring charcoal, lighter fluid, wood). We would say pack for “glamping” and enjoy nature’s sounds and surroundings!

Terry met me once I got to the place and helped me start a fire. You want to go all the way through Ponca. If you feel like you missed it you probably just need to go a little further and you'll see the bridge! The cabin was cozy and rustic. Terry was very helpful getting us set up. Overall, great place for a peaceful hiking getaway. Just what I wanted. Thanks Terry and Linda! OH! The lady at the front desk of the general store was outstanding too. She gave us the low-down on all the great hikes in the area. I would definitely recommend stopping in and having her mark up a paper map for you. Service and phone maps don't work too well and some of the harder to find spots it was super helpful to have a paper copy.

Very cool cabin and location! And the covered bridge with the creek is picturesque!
