Hillside Cottage is such a sweet cottage. My family stayed here to see the total solar eclipse and we had a lovely stay. We found the home exactly as described. It was very homey and rustic and just an excellent place to chill for a few days and explore some of the Ozark mountains. It was lovely to wake up every morning to a sunrise over the pasture land. My son who is 22 months old LOVED standing by the fence to say hi to the cows. We also all enjoyed the fire pit area and thought it was really nice Rachel included a s’more kit. I think another thing to note was the king bed in the master bedroom - we’ve stayed in a lot of places and this was one of the more comfortable mattresses. Lastly, Rachel was so sweet before and during our stay. I had several questions beforehand and she was always quick to respond. There was an issue with the fridge but she kept in constant contact with that too and provided us with an excellent solution. Would love to stay here again. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Hillsdale Cottage. This was a great weekend getaway for our family of 5. We enjoyed building a fire in the fire pit and making s’mores, seeing our cow neighbors, and relaxing on the porch swing. We took the host’s recommendation of a nearby hike at Alum Cove and it was perfect for our kiddos. Sometimes when you stay at vacation rentals the accommodations aren’t comfortable but not the case here. We slept well and had plenty of space for meals, games, relaxing, etc.
