An unbeatable location and spacious luxury make Rider's Ridge the best chalet in town. Overlooking Akakura Onsen Ski Field, keen skiers will be delighted to have world class powder just steps away from their front door. This newly renovated chalet is designed to accommodate families and groups of 12 comfortably. Along with unique interior design, modern conveniences, stunning views , and top notch hospitality, Rider's Ridge Chalet delivers the best Myoko has to offer. This chalet was redesigned with maximum comfort for large groups and families in mind. The main floor is heated throughout and its open plan flows through the common spaces: A large and well appointed kitchen, dining area, bar, a reading nook and an entertainment lounge. The top floor is home to 5 private rooms, including the Master suite, with sweeping views of the valley. Two and a half bathrooms (including one shower, and one bath tub are found on the main floor and top floor. For storing and drying ski gear, a dedicated dry room is available, along with a washing machine on site. Parking is available upon request.

Great ski-in/ski-out spot in Akakura, perched above the river opposite a lift. No neighbours, and nice views. Super convenient for Akakura Onsen and Akakura Kanko skiing, but would still recommend getting a car to access the other nearby mountains. We had a great time, and particularly appreciated the local tips and insights. Our trip was late in the season, so many things were closed, but we managed well.
Our stay at Rider's Ridge was epic from the moment we were picked up from the train station until the ride back. Jen & Matt and crew were fast on communication and quickly helped out with our requests. Their chalets are gorgeous in great locations with all the amenities needed and more. I will be staying with Wasabi Chalets again!
What an incredible experience! Not only was the chalet beautiful, walking distance to the town, with a lot of dining/drinking options and groceries, ski in ski out (2 minute walk to the lifts) but it was also very stylishly decorated, big, clean and comfortable. Not to mention the hosts were amazing!! They were so responsive and helpful, they arranged pick ups for us to and from the station and gave us many recommendations for local restaurants. They were so welcoming and warm and even left us a welcome gift basket! Above and beyond our expectations would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a perfect place for a ski vacation/retreat!

Myoko Kogen boasts world-class skiing and some of the most impressive snowfalls globally. Despite its renown, the village retains its quaint countryside ambiance and close-knit atmosphere. Come winter, the town vibrates with energy. The main street of Akakura, with its array of restaurants, bars, and shops, ensures a memorable ski getaway.
Rider's Ridge Chalet is ideally located. Just a short 2 minute walk will take you the ski lifts and to the main road where the shops, bars , and restaurants are situated.
It's hard to beat this location. With both the lifts and the main town just minutes away, it's easy to explore the best of Myoko.
**On Foot:**
Akakura's main street is compact, making it easy to explore on foot. Most attractions like the Akakura Onsen and Kanko lifts, restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops are centrally located.
**Resort Shuttle Buses:**
From the main bus lot at Akakura's top, efficient public buses connect you to nearby resorts.
**Private Vehicle:**
Enhance your holiday experience by having your own transportation. We'll happily suggest car rental options upon booking. 4WD and snow-tires or snow chains are required for winter bookings.
**Parking:**
There is a Car Garage on site - but has clearance limitations. Booking is required in advance.
**Taxis**
There is a local taxi service in Myoko, but vehicles are in high demand in the winter and should be booked beforehand.
**Wasabi Chalet Shuttle:**
We offer shuttles to Myoko Kogen train station and the local supermarket
