We had a great time during winter . The cottage is five minutes by car to the Akakura ski resort. Hosts are very helpful.

Takeo was a great host. very accomodating. He was able to help make our trip amazing. The cottage was warm and homely. One tip is to make sure you turn the Kerosine heaters off before bed so the Monoxide alarms dont wake you. Although it doesnt clearly state it- a hire car is needed for this stay. There is a half a kilometre uphill walk to the nearest shuttle stop which does not run that often and is paid per ride. With a car Myoko shopping centres are accessible, as well as the Akakura precinct for nights out. As for car hire use Times Nagano. They will let you book max 6 months in advance which I'd recommend otherwise you'll have to rent and drive from tokyo area. Search Times car hire Nagano into a web search. The water in the Bathroom was consistently Hot and with the heaters the house warmed up very quickly. As the cottage was isolated there was no surrounding noise preventing you from getting a good nights sleep. Overall an amazing stay with great myoko pow.

We had a great stay in the chalet. It is warm with its rustic, all-wood architecture. There were 9 of us and the kitchen table was perfect for getting together around a meal. But the fact remains that it is quite rudimentary and a little outdated. If you are allergic to dust…bring pills :) * Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le chalet. Il est chaleureux avec son architecture rustique tout en bois. Nous étions 9 et la table de cuisine était parfaite pour se retrouver tous ensemble, autour d’un repas. Mais il reste que c’est assez rudimentaire et un peu désuet. Si vous êtes allergique à la poussière… apporter des pilules :)

Local muito sujo, muito pelo de cachorro em toda a casa e principalmente no tapete, banheiro estava bem sujo também, tivemos que fazer uma limpeza geral na casa antes de entrar, futon estava com mal cheiro, não foi uma experiência boa.
