The lovely casita, in this stunning space, was just what the doctor ordered. Remote enough to unwind and enjoy the beauty yet only 20 minutes to the beach and town. Heaven is the hammock, bird songs and sky - I can't wait to go back. The owners were away, and Krista was immensely helpful and responsive to us, anticipating our needs, making recommendations while also giving us space. She is a mind reader.

We enjoyed every minute here and hope to return! Beyond the stunning views and peaceful surroundings, Michael and Irena’s casitas are so well built, thoughtfully designed, and carefully maintained that you can enjoy all the wonders of the natural environment without compromising any comfort. Everything we needed and more was provided (abundant amenities, detailed map, fresh picked fruit, even a homemade bug catcher that we used to relocate a baby gecko). It feels like every effort has been made to ensure a beautiful experience for each visitor. The area is certainly magical, but the hosts truly make this place special! Big thanks to Krista for taking care of us. It is a long and bumpy drive (~40 min) from the main road and not one you’ll want to make after dark, but we encountered similar roads throughout Guanacaste and were glad to have a 4WD. If serenity is what you seek, look no further than this mountaintop paradise, stock up before arriving and plan on staying a while to savor it!

The location was very far from activities, and the roads were very difficult to drive on at night. We actually had a minor accident and flat tire-of course that could happen anywhere. There was another couple with us and we were unable to ride together because 4 horses were not available. We never saw waterfalls or a hiking trail. The accommodations were lovely, and we enjoyed the pool. I guess I was expecting to be able to take advantage of activities without having to drive 45 minutes or more.

Hidden gem! The views, the infinity pool, the comfy bed, the amazing shower, the huge balcony, the sunsets and all the nice touches from the hosts really make this place one of a kind. Staying here really felt like a vacation, especially with all the great hikes you could do directly onsite. Thank you Michael for the warm welcome!
