This place is on the south side of the island, not near the big dock and the town! It seems to be the cham-island-scam. When the big boat arrived at the island there was a man there with a piece of paper with my name on it, amongst others. The man wanted us to get into a smaller boat, some of us protested because we had booked rooms in view of the dock and just wanted to walk there. It didn't really matter to me since I was planning on hiking around the island anyway, so I got into the boat. Ofcourse we had to pay again to. We where then ferried to the other side of the island. A beautiful place and nice boat ride I have to say. I was handed the keys to the mountain view room I booked. It had no windows, so you can guess how beautiful the view was! The bed was obviously slept in since it smelled like a man who ate really spicey food. There was also a variety of insect life walking and flying around. I just got my camping gear out and slept in that, at sunrise I walked the 5km back to the town. The walk was stunning, morning fog, deserted beaches for a brake from the up and downhill walk... There where plenty of nice, clean and cheap homestays in the town, I stayed there for 4 more days. The cham-island-scam places all seem to have the same photo's and texts so they shouldn't be too hard to avoid if you want to stay in the town. It's not the first time the location is completely off, to bad there isn't a better system to make sure the accommodation is on the exact coordinates where it was in the booking process.
