This place is a must! We absolutely loved our stay at the Sugar Valley Alpacas farm hosted by Doneen and Stuart. They are the most amazing people - extremely friendly and accommodating. I had not planned well and Stuart helped us get checked in even though we were arriving very late. We stayed in the guest house which is far enough away from the main dwelling that we had all of the privacy of having our own place. Doneen had a left a bottle of wine and fresh flowers for our arrival. She also brought us fresh eggs from their farm hens - yes! The location is out in the country and about 10 minutes from Catersville. It was so peaceful. We sat out on the veranda for hours overseeing the fields, the ponds and flower covered with butterflies. We could also see the Alpacas in one of the fields. The interior was very clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The highlight was definitely getting to feed the Alpacas twice! We definitely want to stay here again. Thank you Doneen & Stuart! <3

Doneen and Stuart were wonderful hosts! They were great with communication before and throughout and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. Check-in was easy and the property is beautiful. I especially loved the screened in porch and sitting by the pond to relax. On the second night it was a cool evening and we had a fire in the fire pit. The location was only 10 minutes from downtown Cartersville so it was easy to get to the museums we wanted to see. And we LOVED getting to feed the alpacas and love on the resident dogs and cat! Huge thanks to both Doneen and Stuart for making us feel so welcome. We easily could have stayed another few nights just to soak in the peace and quiet there. We were here for a mini vacation to celebrate our anniversary, and hope to go back soon! 🖤

We had a great stay at this cozy cottage. Everything was as described. It was very clean and peaceful. The alpacas were adorable and my son enjoyed the dogs as well. The hosts were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival. I can’t say enough about this place, it was just what we needed.

Our stay at Sugar Valley Alpacas was a gift to our souls, to say the least. Everything from the cottage to the surroundings to the animals and people was beautiful. Doneen has done such a fantastic job of stocking the cottage with EVERYTHING a guest could possibly need. The attention and detail she has put into everything shows genuine care and intentionality and enables a guest to truly feel right at home. She and Stuart are incredibly friendly and welcoming and the alpacas and dogs are so fun to interact with. This little getaway was just the retreat our family needed before embarking on a tough season, and my only regret is not booking a longer stay. Thank you!!

Our stay was amazing!! We were only there for a couple nights and had a wedding to attend so we’re very in and out. But the cottage was so cozy and comfortable and the welcome gift was the sweetest. Our host was so communicative and I cannot stress how fun meeting the alpacas was!!! I definitely hope to come back.
