Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. The homemade flapjacks were a lovely touch and the children enjoyed these as well as the games. Beds were really comfortable and the place was really peaceful.
From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed with lovely home made flapjacks and a doggy treat for our Cockapoo Rosie which was lovely. We felt the cottage was very cosy and had every thing we needed for our 2 night stay. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of equipment if you needed it to cook/coffees etc. including an air fryer. We didn't actually cook whilst we were there we treated ourselves to take aways on both nights. There are local takeaways a few minutes away from the cottage including a Chinese and Fish and Chip shop. The fish and chips we had were amazing and we hadn't tasted such lovely fish in a long time. There is also a Co-op nearby if you needed anything and a local convenience store too. Located in a beautiful area with amazing beach and estuary on your doorstep & lots of lovely places to visit nearby by car we visited Coniston, Boughton and Furness, Ulverston and Newby Bridge. Would recommend this place and love to visit again if coming to this part of the Lakes.
Great location next to the estuary. Very handy for letting the dogs run out without any risk of traffic. Good kitchen with everything you need to hand. We were lucky with the weather and had a few dry days, made a change from all the rain we have had. The local pub, London House was a good find and very friendly.
We found the cottage very welcoming and our stay extremely comfortable. We loveď the walks on the beach which was very close to the cottage and the scenery was lovely. It was a convenient location to visit other places of interest like Ulverston and Broughton in Furness.
our 3rd visit in 3years and won't be our last, it's become a home away from home. Cosy, comfortable, clean, homely and peaceful with immediate access to the beach which was great for us and our dog. A good location to be based from with everywhere of interest just a short drive away. Will we be back, you can count on it. 10/10
