There are a lot of hidden fees with this hotel that isn’t specified on air bnb… $200 bond + parking( which I was advised by reception would only be $13 but was charged $39… checked on the hotels website and found out I paid $30 more through air bnb… expected to pay $250(price specified on air bnb but paid $489… the $200 bond was meant to be refunded after 3-5 business days, it’s been 6 business days and still nothing. The photos are also very deceiving, appears to be a good view of the lake from the balcony but instead my room was a few metres above a Dan murphys car park, it was loud with no privacy. Was a complete waste of money, I’m pretty disappointed with air bnb and this hotel as the listing is deceptive and dishonest. Will NEVER use this hotel again, save your money and go elsewhere because they will surprise you with close to a few hundred extra $$ with surprise on the spot fees.

I have never left a negative review before but I feel that I need to warn fellow dog owners. I booked this hotel as it was dog friendly and I included my dog in the Airbnb booking. There were no cleaning fees included through Airbnb, nor was there any additional information under the pet policy section. Upon arrival I was notified there would be an extra $250 cleaning fee that I had to pay directly to the hotel. When I asked to cancel the booking due to the fee I was told it was non refundable. It turns out the extra fee is hidden in the fine print. If you have a dog and want to book this hotel be aware that it actually states there is a $500 dog cleaning fee in the fine print so you may be charged this amount. Despite this cleaning fee our room was very unclean (dust, dirty bathroom and kitchen, stained furniture and a mysterious brown splatter on the wall). The Airbnb host was difficult to communicate with, but I will say the man working at the front desk was great.

Had a great experience once again at Punthill Caroline springs. Beautiful view and room was bigger than expected which was great. Cleanliness 10/10 and a great arouma when you first walk in. Only down side was the TV in the bedroom was shattered in the top right corner, which caused a bit of a unpleasant experience when watching anything on it. Made sure I told the team straightaway. I don’t believe they were aware of it beforehand, so not a problem. Overall, great experience and will be returning again for sure.
