I had such a great stay! Highly recommend! Learning to surf one block away in Freights Bay was a highlight of my trip. Mike and Mia were extremely friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The outdoor space is very relaxing and peaceful.

I had a fantastic time surfing and remote working at Mia & Mike’s Surfers Shack. It is steps away from the longboard break at Freights Bay; the place is perfect for one person or a couple; the interior is clean and equipped with the basics to cook and live; the patio and garden area are private and relaxing; sitting in the garden at night and looking up at the stars is a great way to close a day of surfing; three restaurants within 10minutes walk (Bar557, Luna, and Casper’s); and my favorite is surfing or just watching the sunset steps away at Freights. Thank you, Mia and Mike, for sharing your lovely place and your hospitality.

Surfers shack was a really sweet little studio with a beautiful little garden and patio . Super close to the ocean where you could walk and catch the sunsets. Mike Provided 2 camping chairs and a cooler which was a real plus.

They say it’s the small things that matter and that can’t be more true, from the beach chairs to the ice box, all the small things were taken care of. The hosts were super helpful and it’s in an amazing location this all added up to a wonderful stay. Mike and Mia has really created a beautiful private little place that is wonderful for 2 people. We have had a fantastic time! Thank you both!
