Sarah is a lovely host and couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. The accommodation is stylish, nice touch to have breakfast and snacks there and bath toiletries supplied. And gorgeous view with patio and fire if you want that too. However, I did find the sofa bed lumpy and armrest in an awkwardly positioned as it’s a very small space with a low ceiling. Having to remember duck to get in and out and going to the out-door toilet in the night was not so conducive to my comfort. A steam filled bath in such a space creates condensation a bit like camping. I kept the door open a lot. This is subjective. It’s a sweet little place right by the mountains so a good spot for hikers.
Sarah was a fantastic host. Very friendly and accommodating. The space was lovely, especially the bath! A great treat after a long day of walking. Would book again. Thanks for a lovely stay x

Fantastic weekend in a lovely space! Stayed for 2 nights for a personal retreat and a few hikes. Highlights were: having breakfast in the garden looking at the gorgeous views of the valley and of course the deep bath tub. Sarah was very responsive, friendly, helpful and respectful of privacy. Couldn't have asked for a better host. The bath plug was a little bit tricky to get out so give it a try before filling the tub up. 5 star stay!

Y Cwtsh Dan Star is situated in the Black Mountain area of Carmarthenshire, Wales, with mountain and hill views and less than 10 mins walk from Brecon Beacons National Park. Great for walkers, weekenders, singles and couples. Y Cwtsh Dan Star is a self-contained covid safe little haven and has an Omnitub deep soak Japanese bath with shower, a high quality comfy sofa bed with high quality bedding. It is self-catering with electric mini oven & hob, mini fridge with freezer box. Local takeaway and food delivery services are easily accessible within 5/7 minutes drive from the property and many do deliver. Heating is supplied via a colour changing flame electric fire and a heated towel rail. To keep you entertained, a Wall-mounted with swivel arm 32” LG Smart TV can connect to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, BBC / ITV Hub iPlayer etc). Short or longer stays welcome subject to availability. Smoking is permitted outside only. There is a coffee table and outdoor seating for you to enjoy on sunny days and warm nights as well as the use of a fire pit in the garden after the sun goes down. Toilet with hand basin is directly next-door to the room and for guest use only. Some toiletries supplied. All freshly laundered towels and bedding supplied.
