We think the use of the word "resort" created an expectation way above what is actually a small trailer/cabin park. The place is clean and our only real issue is the wi fi repeater in the cabin just beside the bed. The hosts were responsive and permitted us to turn it off for sleep. The experimental soap things need to be substituted. They were not workable. Flathead Lake is lovely.

Pay attention to details, the listing is accurate, and the staff is amazing. I saw someone left a 1 star review prior to booking this room, but the complaints in the review could have been avoided by paying closer attention to the details in the listing. This specific room does not have A/C, which wasn't an issue for me, as I was visiting in Sept. If you look at their main website, you'll see they market the property as "glamping" in general. The one thing I didn't pay attention to was that the room didn't have a TV. Again, this was fine for my purposes, as I triple checked that there was wifi, and brought a laptop to stream anything I wanted to watch anyway. Pros: - beach, staff, ease of access, ability to walk a few blocks to a general store with common necessities and stellar breakfast burritos, ability to walk to a bar (next to the general store) which also had a great staff, pet friendly (I brought two dogs), parking in front of your door, great wifi, eco friendly toiletries, comfy bed and linens, and more. - Circling back to the bar and little store, there was a coupon in my room for a free coffee, and free drink. - I came to relax, hike, and enjoy the serenity. That's exactly what I got here! The staff was friendly, even checked in on me after a couple of days to see if I needed re-stocked on anything. I was on a long road trip, so did bring most of my own supplies, and was fairly stocked up. - At one point, I received a text message informing me of a band playing at a local spot. I like hearing about local activities that might be of interest to me. Not only that, but I probably would have checked it out if I wasn't leaving that day. - The property is located right off of the highway, so you can hear cars at night. I actually meant to bring my white noise machine, but was pleasantly surprised they had one in the room! Cons: - I did have some nights where sleep was disrupted due to a bright motion sensor light outside my window. Blackout blinds/curtains would have been preferred for this unit. I thought it was sunrise, at times it was only 2am. - It's almost like they assumed the average height of all humans is 6ft, as all the hooks, hangers, shelves were way too far out of reach for someone barely 5ft tall. I couldn't reach the little shelf in the shower, and could barely reach the coat hooks in the entryway. Things to consider: - The listing is accurate, there isn't a dresser, or much "surface space", so general supplies/toiletries/clothing will sit on the floor. There's a little area to hang clothing and one of those standard, elevated, racks to place one piece of luggage on. These were little nuances that I didn't think much about at the time I booked this property, but nothing that would deter me from doing it all over again. I ended up putting the toilet seat down and using that little surface space for things like makeup, hair dryer, etc, as there wasn't much of a counter to place them on. Maybe a TV tray could have solved for this, but again, not a big deal for me, and I put toiletries away when I'm done using them. The bathroom sink/vanity is slightly different from the one pictured, with less surface space. - The mini fridge was different from the one pictured, in a good way. The one I had was more of a retro look, and had a separate freezer door to open, with ice trays. The one pictured at this time (10/3/22) looks like the single door, without a true freezer section. I prefer the kind with a true separation between the fridge and freezer. I like frozen items to stay frozen. ;) - I visited in the "off season" on purpose, to avoid the peak tourist times of the year. There were others on the property, and it was peaceful and quiet every night. I'd recommend looking at pictures of the property from their main website to get a better vision of how quickly it could be densely populated. I do think that larger groups of people just outside talking late into the evening would have woken me up, even if it's not a loud group of partying people. It is a compact space that could house quite a few people. There are quiet hours, but I think you'd still hear people who were laughing / talking, up late into the night, even if they're at a normal volume. I like to sleep colder and snuggle into the covers, and kept the windows open all night. Closing the windows would block most of the noise though if needed. - Speaking to the accuracy of the listing, the Melita is small, and best suited for one person. Think about what you're going to do on a rainy day. There was one day it rained the whole time, so I didn't do much aside from binge-watch some shows and lay in bed all day. This was fine for me and my dogs, but I wouldn't have wanted to share that small of a space with another human for that long. There were plenty of times I felt like I was playing tetris, shifting my belongings around to make a meal, watch a show, shower and do my hair, etc. I assumed this was going to be the case when I booked it, but that wouldn't have sufficed if there was another human with me. - I had planned to grill some burgers and store some easy meals (sandwiches and such) in the mini fridge to avoid eating out all the time. The accommodations are basic. Decor is lovely, but relatively small. No AC. Cost was expensive. The lake is beautiful, but the surrounding area was disappointing. More like glamping.
