比格福克(Bigfork) · 整套客用套房 · 2室4床2.0卫 · 可住8人 · Luxurious Stay/Walkable Location/Lakefront Sunsets
Spend a dream vacation at a one-of-a-kind, luxury home! You'll have a PRIVATE ENTRANCE and the entire UPPER LEVEL of this 4000 sq. ft. home. Other guests may be enjoying the separate lower suite during your stay. The home overlooks Flathead Lake and is on 14 acres surrounded by federally protected land providing endless hours of private adventure. Walk to bars, restaurants and live music in minutes. Swim/kayak in the lake across the road or launch a boat at the nearby State Park plus much more! Almost entirely newly renovated, this rustic modern Montana home perches above Flathead Lake. The views and sunsets from the property are absolutely stunning . After a day of exploration, take in the views from the private patio while you enjoy a meal you prepared in the fully equipped, gourmet kitchen. Or instead, walk down the steep driveway to one of the neighborhood restaurants for a local meal. The land is rugged, natural Montana terrain. This is an amazing place for families and children to experience, however the surrounding area is not safe for toddlers or young children to wonder around unsupervised. Not only are parts uneven and steep, but there has been a black bear (beautiful and non-aggressive) and at night, cougars, spotted on the property in the past. We have a large yard out front where our neighbor is boarding his beautiful horse, Freedom. Please do not enter the yard with Freedom, but you may approach the fence and feed him apples if you like. He loves them! There are ruins from an old stone homestead in the front yard and the once indoor fireplace still stands and is available to use. This fireplace is a great place to gather in the evenings for marshmallow roasting and good conversation. Who doesn't love an outdoor fire? We already set up some chairs and a table for you. We also have a new fire pit addition with Adirondack chairs on the terraced decking. It is our hope that this can be communal space for all guests. We own over 140’ of private lake access right in front of our house across the road. There is also a public access point for our neighborhood just a few hundred feet down the road which is a great place to put in a kayak or SUP. It is also a place many families enter for swimming as well. IN ORDER TO ACCESS THE WATER FOR SWIMMING ON OUR PROPERTY, ONE MUST DESCEND A NATURAL STAIRCASE MADE FROM BOULDERS ON THE RETAINING WALL. THERE IS NO RAILING SO IT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR SOME PEOPLE. From the back of the house, there are hiking trails that lead to lakes for fishing or swimming. These trails are very private as the state lands surrounding our land are almost impossible to access from anywhere other than our property. Where else can you have millions of acres of solitary hiking right out your door? Don't forget your compass and bear spray! The living/dining/kitchen are all together in an open plan living space with spectacular lake views. There is a smart TV with streaming services such as Netflix and a DVD player with lots of movies to choose from. We also have plenty of board and card games there to keep you busy if that is your thing. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need including a hand mixer for baking a cake! We thought of everything! We even have some of the most common spices on hand for to make it easier to cook your favorite dishes while you are here. The master bedroom has a king bed along with a foldout sofa. The sofa bed is more like a large modern futon and is really only suitable for one adult, however 2 kids would fit fine. There is a sliding glass door leading out to a wraparound deck from the master where we have some outdoor furniture. There is a queen bed in the second bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The sofa bed in the living room is a queen size and is good quality with a nice mattress. Off of the kitchen, there is a deck with a gas grill and a large table and chairs. Eating outside there in the summer is just dreamy. We do it every night.
This place was beautiful. The views over the lake with the mountains in the background were incredible. Perfect stay, we could not be happier. On the five start rating scale we give this a 23 !
The place was nice but the pictures were a bit misleading. It's across a fairly busy road which wasn't a deal breaker. The only issue was that the noise from the kids downstairs was a bit loud and the door separating the levels was not able to reduce that at all. We had the upper level and didn't use the firepit because it's too close to the lower level patio which would have been awkward for 2 adults. The house was clean and well prepared for ua. We were able to walk to nice restaurants easily and the GNP was a quick drive. I wouldn't stay again just due to the lack of privacy for the cost. Libby was great though.
I wish we could have booked more time there. When you get to a new place it takes a few days to acclimate your surroundings, Then you start feeling comfortable. The horse next door was a special treat for my wife and daughter who love horses. They fed Freedom apples and carrots daily. We really enjoyed the lower outdoor fireplace, just a beautiful place. Would love to come back someday.
Woods Bay is a popular little spot on Flathead Lake. It is a little community and can be reached on foot within minutes from this home.
There is a market just a short drive up the road and Bigfork is only 10 minutes away. You won't want to miss the chance to see a show at the famous Bigfork Summer Playhouse!
You will be close to Wayfarer State Park where you can launch your boat or just enjoy the day. It is a wonderful park. There are also many places for renting boats both big and small in the area.
We have wine tasting within walking distance and a local distillery not far away. We are surrounded by cherry orchards which are delicious if you happen to be here at the right time! You really can't beat the location of this home and all it has to offer!
We find it is best to rent a car if you decide to fly into Glacier International Airport. There are not many public transportation options and it would get very expensive to use Lyft and Uber all of the time. For reference, our home is about 45 minutes from West Glacier entrance.
With a rental car, you will have the ability to easily visit Whitefish, Glacier National Park, Kalispell, Lakeside and Columbia Falls should you wish to do something in each of those places. We have recommendations in each of them and think they all offer something unique.
Although our home is walking distance for a lot of local things, we still recommend a rental car to explore all there is to do in the Valley.
