Relieve yourself of stress and enjoy the beautiful nature given to us here. We can only be thankful that such a wonderful ambient is surrounding us here - that can take your breath away or give it back after a long sports day.
Never be bored again! We offer you a number of weekly events, that take place in the summertime, we organize picnics, hiking trips and other different activities. As long as the snow doesn't melt, we can build winter villages. We mainly offer regional specialities, which are of high quality and are made by explicitly following traditional recipes. We even offer you an all inclusive package or "breakfast&bed" package. You will not be disappointed!
You can go hiking (From Areh / Maribor to Slovenj Gradec along Slovenska planinska pot (the Slovenian Mountain Path), snowboarding, skiing, have picknic and other activities in nature.
Areško (or Ruško) Pohorje has approximately 7 km of nicely tidied and regularly maintained cross-country skiing trails. The trails are quite undemanding and mostly run through a forest without steeper ascents or descents. If we wish for a longer trip, it is possible to run to Areh from the upper station of the cable car on Mariborsko Pohorje (Bellevue) as well.

In the company of the marks of Slovenska planinska pot (Slovenian Mountain Path), which is marked by number one by the usual path signs, we go past the Church of St. Bolfenk to panoramic Mariborski razglednik (1147 m), and then to Areh. Over Žigartov vrh (1346), we come to Bajgot, from where we ascend under Klopni vrh and continue towards Rogla (1517 m), where we can enjoy the view of wide forested area from its broad top or the panoramic tower. We continue our hike past the picturesque lakes Lovrenška jezera, over Ribiški vrh (1537 m) in Črni vrh (1543 m) to Velika Kopa (1542 m) and Mala Kopa (1524 m). We descend into Slovenj Gradec over Kremžarjev vrh (1164 m).
