This host conducts their pre-checkin outside of airbnb application, which is a safety concern, and also has very long gaps between communication. I tried reaching out to airbnb support to get a refund on this booking as we did not feel safe going after reading all communication should be done in app and we are being denied one for not following the hosts policies (which goes against airbnbs). Money was withdrawn from our account and we were approved to stay here but never received checkin information due to the host wanting to “pre-authorize” me and my party through text message. I do not recommend as communication was horrible and their checkin process seems very sketchy.

Unit was spacious and open. Just a small kitchenette but we didn’t cook so it worked for us. We also liked the enclosed front porch. One point for seniors like us, the mattress in bedroom is only about 8” off the floor. Probably not an issue for younger people but was difficult for us getting in and out of bed but we managed. The only complaint is new guests leased the back rental on Thanksgiving day afternoon. They had quite a party playing loud music, slamming doors and a fussy crying baby. We could hear their conversation easily through the wall. The noise did stop by the 10:00 PM quiet time but resumed first thing the next morning until they checked out. Wasn’t a huge issue for us but our pets got excited a few times and it was just one night. There were no other guests during our 10 day stay. So if you want a whole house to yourself this is not the unit for you. Like I said above, it worked for us and the host was very accommodating. Thanks John & Michele
