We saw this place last minute and it was very expensive, but we knew the location is gorgeous and decided to splash out on it. The location did not disappoint; it really is just stunning! The sea is on your doorstep and the beach just a short walk. The house itself is pleasant enough - but for the price paid, it doesn’t live up to expectations. Nothing major, just lots of little things such as: - broken bathroom plug - walls in need of a fresh coat of paint - mould and flaky paint in the bathroom - tired decor, such as sofas with a cheap throw over them to hide the stains - cobwebs on the walls - old mattress - no basics like tea, coffee, oil, milk - no logs for the fire Overall it’s just looking a little tired. At a lower rate we absolutely wouldn’t have minded! But for over £300 per night off peak, you do expect it to be immaculate. It’s a bit of a shame, because with a little bit of a refresh this space would be really special.

I have to start with saying that the location (once we found it) was absolutely stunning. We sat watching the water and birds right outside the doors. The house is beautiful, clean and well stocked, with comfy beds. Very dog friendly! We walked from the house to the beach and back with our dogs & kids, and everyone loved it there! Already looking to return. One thing I will say, is make sure that you download the What3Words App and ensure you get sent them. The house is in a remote location when driving (but a short walk to village along the estuary) and we ended up driving around for a long time in the dark. That said, once I did finally ring the rental company (at 9pm) the lady was very helpful and got us there :)

beautiful location and fantastic views from cottage in any weather. so peaceful and relaxing. cottage well equipped and lovely decor. beds comfy and cosy lounge. stunning beach and plenty of walks from door. Lovely village and local cafe. Don't often go back to places but this one I will.

Perfect little cottage right by the water.. we based ourselves here for 5 days of walking holiday and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The house was very well equipped and had three very large bedrooms. All around a brilliant stay. Thank you

Location is stunning, very well decorated (we actually went to the Janet Bell shop after because of it), and a fantastic place to stay if you want a quaint quiet stay.
