A contemporary, open-plan studio property with bi-fold doors opening on to a secluded garden, paved terrace and hot tub. Situated in a quaint village at the foot of the South Downs, there are two pubs within walking distance and many walks on the doorstep. This contemporary, studio property built in 2016 has been completed to an exceptional standard. The Garden Room is the perfect romantic retreat for couples seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Located in the village of Westmeston at the foot of the South Downs, the property is the perfectly positioned for exploring the beautiful countryside. There are two pubs in walking distance and the lively city of Brighton is just 30 minutes' drive south with its wealth of shops, restaurants and bars. The open-plan living area is generously sized with a well-equipped kitchen/dining area complete with everything needed for a self catering break. The large sofa is great for cosying up in front of the TV or listening to music through the bluetooth speakers. To one side of the room is a comfortable king-size bed with plenty of storage space cleverly hidden behind a full length curtain. Completing the interior is a good sized bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Underfloor heating runs throughout the property, keeping the studio comfortably heated during the cooler months. The property features large, bi-fold doors spanning the full length of the frontage. Not only do they fill the space with light, in the warmer months, the doors can be fully opened to bring the outdoors in. The secluded south-wast facing garden with large paved terrace is a lovely spot from which to soak up the sunshine. Dine al fresco at the outdoor dining table or lie back and relax in the hot tub. Also available to book at this location is 1 Church Cottages (sleeping four guests) next door. The two properties can be booked together as 1 Church Cottages & Garden Room (sleeping six guests). Additional Information: Accommodation all on one level. Underfloor heating throughout. The bedding is non feather. Children and infants welcome. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Village location with footpath from the doorstep to the South Downs. Walking distance to two pubs.

Peaceful relaxing break. The hot tub was fabulous! Very clean private and modern cabin with really good welcome pack. Lovely fresh flowers and fizz! Great walks on nearby South Downs. We really enjoyed our break and would love to come again.
We had a fantastic stay. Everything was just like it said it would be. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get away to a private retreat with beautiful surroundings.
Great little retreat we used for 3 nights . Clean and everything you need . Was left a lovely welcome hamper . Hot tub was great . Nice location in lovely village and short drive to Brighton. Highly recommend 👌

Located in the Lewes district of East Sussex, Westmeston is an ancient Norman village steeped in history and situated at the foot of the South Downs, a range of chalk hills. Two excellent pubs are within walking distance of the cottage; The Bull at Ditchling (1½ miles) and The Half Moon Inn at Plumpton (2 miles).
The South Downs National Park is quite literally on the doorstep, offering rolling hills, ancient woodlands, river valleys and much, much more.
The county town of Lewes has all of the amenities needed for your stay and can be reached by car within 10 minutes. A great place to find local produce is Middle Farm. It has a farm shop, deli, cider barn, tea shop and an open farm.
The Seven Sisters Country Park and the Cuckmere Valley are excellent spots for coastal walks and sea views, while Seaford is a quiet seaside resort with sandy beaches.
Vibrant Brighton is a great choice for a day trip with it's famous beach and pier. The exotic Royal Pavilion, built over 200 years ago for King George IV as a seaside pleasure palace, is a must see.
Feeling adventurous? Flight Sport Aviation offer light sport aircraft lessons and pilot training.
Places of historic interest nearby include Lewes Castle, a 1000 year old Norman Castle, Michelham Priory House & Gardens and Charleston Farmhouse, once the home and country meeting place of the Bloomsbury Group.
