This spot is an absolute gem! Super unique - on a working herb farm in a beautiful valley yet right by town. Views are amazing and the dogs welcomed us and our dogs with such warmth and curiosity! And the space inside was perfect - super quaint but plenty of room for my partner and I to both work at the same time comfortably. Great internet in a town that has minimal. Lisa was uber communicative about directions, getting in, and check out without being invasive in the slightest. One of the best!
Elderberry’s Farm is a special place to stay in Paonia. The farm has beautiful grounds. We were there for my son’s wedding and it was a fabulous venue for an outdoor wedding. The apartment was very comfortable & and spacious for my husband & I.
Lisa’s place was charming and absolutely perfect space for myself, my husband, and our dog. It was comfy and close to town. It is surrounded by beautiful roads and we spent most of our days on bike rides. We liked the low-key and welcoming atmosphere. Lisa was flexible and accommodating with a last minute request. We’d love to come back to Lisa’s spot the next time we visit Paonia!
What kind of price do you put on descriptive words like... 'peaceful' and 'mind medicine' Such a good old fashioned time... The street in which Elderberry farms is on is almost from a favorite old TV show like 'improved Mayberry!' It's a welcome to slowing it all down and unwinding. Love this place a lot... Can't wait to do a workshop with you guys!
Great place, super cute and cozy. Close enough to town for convenience but felt like it was far outside town.

I'm the founder of the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism in Lafayette, CO. When I'm not busy teaching and writing about herbalism & phytochemistry, I like to read, make photographs, play with my dogs, spend time outdoors & in the mountains, ride horses, garden, sit by the fire or the creek, and make mead. I travel to conferences and to teach classes regularly, and sometimes I sneak in a couple of extra vacation days when I'm in a beautiful place.
