The location was perfect. It was on a beautiful beach and close to town. The house itself was very spacious for our large family. We did run out of some essential items after a few days, which was communicated to the host. Our only complaint was there was loud construction going on at the lot next door that we were not made aware of. Other than these few issues, I would pick this location again.

By far one of the best beaches we have stayed at on Lake Huron. You will get your steps in but it is so worth it. The back porch facing the water is very nice too. The house is in a great area. Loved that we did not have to go on the highway when pushing the stroller or riding bikes.

Like all rentals there are pros and cons Pros: The location is outstanding and the beach is beautiful. Further, the house itself is very spacious with living spaces both upstairs and downstairs. Cons: The house itself is clearly a renovation project. The layout is illogical. The "front door" takes you into the basement. What appears to be an old front door goes into one of the bedrooms. Every bedroom has a window unit AC, but they can't keep up to totally cool the house and as a result it is constantly humid / sticky in the house when hot outside. A few fixable complaints: the sliding glass door in the basement had a defective lock and as a result we couldn't lock the door, not good. The washing machine had mold in it. We tried to clean it, but all loads were musty. Many of the light fixtures were hanging out of the ceiling. The AC units weren't sealed and a BAT got into the house while we were sleeping. Yes, a bat. The house is a DIY gone wrong... We won't rent this home again.
