Very unique place. Really enjoyed the stay and was perfectly located for our trip to DYFI bike park. Security deposit was interesting and confusing but worked out in the end. Well worth it.

Thanks so much for letting us stay at Bronhaul. The cottage provided a comfortable and well equipped home from home that enabled us to explore the area, relax and have a great holiday. The cottage has everything you could need, if the weather is cold on arrival it takes a good few hours to warm up but then holds temperature well and is easily topped up by 2-3 hours of the gas fire in the evenings. Would thoroughly recommend seeing the Red Kites feeding station at Gigrin Farm, walking at Cluwedog Dam and the ruins of the Bryntail Lead Mining buildings (there is also a great cafe overlooking the dam!), Aberystwyth is worth a visit to see the castle, the pier arcade (with fish and chips) and the cliffside funicular railway; Dyfi Furnace is worth a visit if you’re into well conserved buildings of the 18/19th century industrial period; we went on a steam train at the Welshpool to Llanfair Light Railway for our sons’ birthday, an excellent morning out with very friendly staff, followed by Powis Castle at Welshpool. Finished the week off at Aberdyfi on my wife’s birthday for a day on the beach and a pub lunch. After departure we had a wonderful breakfast at Caffi Jojo at Llanbrynmair just up the road from the cottage, wish we’d visited earlier! Communication with the host, Julia, was very quick, easy and informative. She was very happy to take a phone call when we arrived and provided us with some good suggestions of places to visit, which was very much appreciated. Details to find the cottage and for key collection on arrival were clear and easy to follow, and the PDF with the house instructions (particularly for how to light the gas fire) was much appreciated. We had a great time, celebrated 2 birthdays while we were there and our now 2 year old keeps saying “where holiday house?” now that we are home again. Will hopefully be able to return one day.
