We visited Souland 5 years ago, this is our second visit, and we enjoyed it as much as before. The cottages are absolutely beautiful, in the middle of nature in a serene setting. They are very aesthetically designed, especially Perch. It's spacious and beautiful with a large balcony overlooking the coffee estate, where we can hear birds and other soothing natural sounds. The family is delightful to interact with and has so much interesting information to share about the estate and their life. In terms of food, the breakfast is especially nice, simple home style local food like idlis noolputtu etc. We enjoyed a peaceful quiet time staying here, would go for walks around the estate and surrounding roads, and one can also rent a car to explore the surrounding area. Thank you Jyothsna and family for a delightful stay, we definitely look forward to visiting again soon!

Stay is okay. Not worth for money. Per day, It costs 7300rs (without taxes) (9200+ after taxes). Prices are like 4star hotels. But no good in the property just okay. Lot of rules but lack of maintenance. Locks are not working with doors (washroom has no locks). Food cost is 800rs for two people but just with normal meals and average taste. No other options around. Overall if you really wish to try this place after looking at photos you can try once may be. But it really didn’t worked out for us especially with price we have paid.

I had a wonderful relaxing stay at Souland Estate. This was my third solo holiday and first in India and I felt completely safe and well looked after 😊I came to Coorg for a relaxing getaway from the busy city life in Bangalore and it completely met my expectations. The plantation is so calm and peaceful with a variety of wildlife and birds. I was thrilled to see the Malabar squirrels and a variety of birds and insects- their singing and chorus through the day was so therapeutic. The family were really lovely, Jyotsna is a really proactive and friendly host. The accommodation was very bright and airy with a lovely high ceiling. The room especially in the afternoon could’ve been a bit cooler, maybe for the future installing an air conditioning unit may help with this. Breakfast was included as part of the package and was varied and delicious, especially liked their filter coffee :) dinner was charged additionally and I felt this was slightly on the expensive side at rs 400/meal.
