The location was perfect for us, so close to the park and a lovely breakfast place at the corner. The place was not cleaned yet when we arrived late afternoon. When I informed Beau, he apologized, requested the cleaners to come, and gave us a discount. It was an unfortunate start, but he solved it as best as he could being out of town himself. During our stay, we did not run into other people living there, so it felt like we had the place for ourselves. You do however clearly hear when neighbors get home/go up the stairs in the house next door. Also good to be aware the doorcode is only active from your check in to check out time. So when we wanted to grab our bags inside a few minutes after check out time, we couldn’t enter the house anymore. Beau helped us unlock the door, but that did create a bit of stress. He offered us to use the garage to store our bags in the afternoon of the checkout which we greatly appreciated.

Great location-close to restaurants and public transportation. Nice furnishings in the bedrooms but the bed in the front room was broken or not level. The place is old so expect the bathroom to reflect that. Towels need updating. There is no fan as stated in the listing. Beau communicated well but the person that was managing the Airbnb (not Beau) was slow to respond to our request to replace the bottled water supply that was advertised in the listing (It took days). Be aware that a hallway runs outside both bedrooms and bathroom. The person managing the Airbnb had guests who were extremely noisy at all hours in the hallway. After we mentioned the noise to Beau we overheard the person managing the Airbnb saying, “The Airbnb people hate us” to their guests and laugh us off. They made no effort to keep voices down in the hallway at any point. A complete lack of consideration for paying guests.
