I booked this for a surprise getaway for my partner's birthday and it was perfect! the fire was lit and electric blankets were on upon arrival, which was lush! Helen had offered to put her lovely dogs away upon arrival in case we didn't want to meet them which was thoughtful. We went for a lovely stroll through their land to the river, and patted their friendly goats. We definitely plan to return some day!

Lovely cosy stay and a wonderful location. The bed was sooo comfy (just what we needed after a week of road tripping in non stop rain!) and just relaxing in the lounge with the fireplace and tv on was great. 10/10, thanks for having us!

Amazing! Wonderful hosts, always helpful and kind. Beautiful cottage, amazing vistas and peaceful. Great for couples and families with children, our Grandchildren loved the horses and chickens, plenty of space for children to play safely. This place touched my soul. Helen and Tony made us very welcome and we would to visit again next time we are in New Zealand. This has been a wonderful experience.

We were there for business so we didn’t have time to explore but what we saw of it and when we have a few days to spare and have time to investigate I think we will be very pleasantly surprise

Such a lovely rural retreat. Just what our family needed for a local getaway. We spent time with the kids near the river and walking to see the chickens and goats. The house had everything we needed and was kid friendly. The location is quiet and the hosts Helen and Tony were very helpful. Hoping to stay again sometime.
