A gorgeous little cottage on a quaint cobbled street in a peaceful location, close to plenty of local amenities, including a friendly pub at the end of the road. The cottage was stylish and inviting and we felt at home immediately. The lounge was colourful and cosy and the kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated the breakfast bits and little treats left for us. The bed was huge and although I was worried it would be a little firm on first sit, we both slept really well. I disagree with a previous comment about the house not being warm, as we felt really toasty. There were instructions to adjust the heating if we had wanted to. One thing to note: Running the bath needs to be done with a little care as, I would imagine the hot water tank isn’t huge for a small property but we managed to get the hang of it in the end! Maggie and Steve are friendly and responsive and we won’t hesitate to stay again when we are next in the area. We would highly recommend this AirBnB!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. So nice that it’s right by the park. Steve and Maggie were very helpful and there was great communication from them. We’ll be back!

Such a beautiful little cottage with bundles of character. The hosts couldn't have been more helpfull and couldn't recommend booking a place with Steve and Maggie highly enough. Super cosy - all mod cons and and brilliant pub just a short walk op the cobbled hill 😀

What a find! Comfortable, cosy, well equipped and well situated, we loved our short stay in this cottage. The super king size bed was a real treat, the morning birdsong a delight and the decor was bright and interesting. As keen cooks, we really appreciated the food, spices and equipment provided. The little self serve biscuit/cereal bar was great! Hosts Stephen and Maggie were helpful before and during our stay, responding promptly to our questions and even bringing over a few items we felt were missing. We loved being in a quiet historic area, yet with trams into Manchester centre a short walk away. We can recommend Black Spot pizzas and Macaris ice cream, both just 5 minutes walk from the cottage. There’s so much to explore in both the local area and the city, and we’d love to return here one day.

Maggie and Steve are great hosts, always responsive and flexible in trying to find solutions (e.g. early check-in when possible). The place itself is cute but very small. If you're staying a short time, are only 1-2 people, and are staying in warmer months, this is a great option. I would recommend caution on staying in winter months, as the house is not well insulated and the boiler is quite small. The neighborhood is great with a park just next door, and nice walks along the River Mersey.
