This was a wonderful cottage in a peaceful cobbled Street in a lovely mill town. The house was extremely well-equipped and beautifully decorated. It was very comfortable, and every conceivable facility was available, to enable a lovely holiday break for a family. Our visit was delayed, by 24 hours, due to torrential rain and unexpected flooding of the route. The owners were very responsive to my messages and understanding. It was very thoughtful, too, to provide some cookies and a bottle of wine as a welcome. The owners were directly and rapidly responsive to answer questions and cater for our comfort. They are really 'super hosts'. We would recommend this holiday accommodation, with enthusiasm and would like to come back again when we are visiting family in the locality.

Great location, clean and homely. The cobbled road tested the car's suspension and the road was quiet considering the rows of terraced houses.

The stay was very good, it would have been useful to have a dishwasher and more instructions on how to use heating, oven etc It was disappointing to have to clean the garden furniture before using it. The high chair was helpful, a travel cot would be useful. Overall, clean, comfortable,convenient. The road is very cobbled with several potholes.

Lovely, period cottage, meticulously prepared and found exactly as advertised. Suited 3 couples for a New Year getaway perfectly. Great walks available from the door without needing to drive. Small, friendly, walkable town with interesting history and plenty of pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended. No dishwasher is the only minor drawback, if you intend staying in and cooking big meals (as we did) but the price was very reasonable and many very local places to eat out were available, so we cooked and washed up by choice. We were extremely satisfied with our stay.

Felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. Had everything we needed when we first got there, tea, coffee, biscuits and prosecco 🙂 I am moving to Belper this year but will definitely be recommending this cottage to family and friends when they visit. Our host Paula was very easy to contact and so helpful. Absolutely loved it
