We really enjoyed our bnb experience. The house was bright and clean. The grounds were beautiful and quite close to Slocan and the lake (few minutes drive), yet was quiet and private, complete with fish pond. The master bedroom with bathroom was lovely and very comfortable. The upstairs rooms were very warm due to the heat wave, but Sarah was kind enough to borrow some extra fans which helped a lot. She also recommended some good places to eat which were great!

Our family very much enjoyed this property. The host Sarah was excellent to deal with, very welcoming and made my family feel welcome. The property was clean, bright and beautiful. Great property, great views, peaceful location, and great value. We will be back!

Thank you to Sarah for hosting us at this fantastic chalet in Slocan — I’m more than happy to give this AirBnB five stars and the highest recommendation! My large family was in town for the weekend to celebrate a wedding, and it was wonderful to have such a comfortable and peaceful mountain-side gathering space for some of us to call home for the occasion, including the parents of the bride! The location and grounds are gorgeous, with a lovely pond and soothing waterfall sounds, and a giant grass lawn with epic valley views. We even watched a meteor shower and saw shooting from the large front deck area, which was a perfect place to hang out when we had family come over for a wedding weekend BBQ together! The Airbnb inside is excellent, with thoughtful details throughout that were truly appreciated — from ice cubes being ready in the freezer to delightful welcome gift treats on the counter, as well as a very kind offer of fresh veggies from the garden. The kids loved playing hide-and-seek in the spacious house, and the adults enjoyed the stunning vista from this comfortable and stylish chalet. And it was great to relax on a large and quiet private property that was still only a quick drive away from the too-much-fun lakefront beach! It couldn’t have been more perfect! I’ll never forget this incredible weekend with family and friends, and can’t say enough thanks to Sarah for giving us such an awesome place to bring together our families. She was beyond accommodating and friendly when it came to hosting us, and we hope to return here in the future if we come back for more Slocan fun! Thank you Sarah!

Sarah is a fantastic host. She seems to genuinely care about her guests and tried her best to accommodate our requests. She helped us to dig our car after a big snow storm and even offered to accommodate us at discounted rate so we do not have to drive in poor conditions. The chalet is well appointed and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. I would not hesitate to recommend the Valhalla View Chalet to anyone who wants to spend time in the area.
