We absolutely love this special place. Beautifully furnished and maintained. The location is second to none if you value natural beauty and isolation. Close to Aboyne for all the amenities yet set apart from everything on a gorgeous loch.

The Queens Hut is a truly magical place to stay. It’s of a high standard inside which makes staying extremely enjoyable and relaxing. You’re surrounded by beautiful countryside and a stunning loch which is incredible to wake up to. We can’t wait to return.

Positives were - the hut was lovely and comfortable and the views of the lake were beautiful. It was great to walk round the lake with the dog, and walk into town easily. Negatives were - although the hut appeared at first to be secluded, we had numerous people walking literally right past the front windows, some even peering in. This totally ruined our stay at the place as it was not private, and we couldn't relax fully. The outdoor furniture was wooden and completely unusable as it was soaking wet, even thought we had a couple of nice days when we could have enjoyed sitting out in the sun. We tried to call Sonia on another matter and left messages on her private number and on the office number and got no reply, we also left an email as requested and also got no reply. I am sorry to leave a negative review but I know I wouldn't have booked the hut if I knew people would walk right through the garden in front of the property, even when there was a well used path behind the hut.
