I would recommend this place no matter the time of year. It is a very cute and welcoming space and very private. You could walk around naked in the backyard and noone would see you, haha! I would recommend caution on the beach especially with children or dogs because there's lots of glass. Recommend not going barefoot. This property has lovely flowers and 5 or six locations around with cute chairs and a raised deck that looks over the lake with a picnic bench. The checkin was amazingly easy, we enjoyed the 4 minute proximity to Ingles supermarket. And we took the top recommendation in the guest book to visit the Joyce Kilmer memorial Forest. It was absolutely wonderful, I would recommend especially the upper loop with massive trees. There is a It is a little close to the highway and the frequent groups of motorcycles who like to zoom by at all hours of the day, that may be a concern for someone who is looking for absolute silence. Donna was kind and welcoming but not intrusive

Donna’s place is a perfect getaway if you’re in the area - right off the highway, right on the lake, and set up for easy kayaking. There is beauty in every direction! Come prepared to relax and get on the water
