The Sleepy Loon was above and beyond our expectations! Scott was a fantastic host, communicated frequently, and was ready to help if we needed it. His place was clean, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful!! Would love to visit again!!

The gravel road leading to the cabin is very long and winding, so a word of caution to drive slowly and watch for oncoming vehicles around blind curves. It's a beautiful drive leading to the cabin, with thickly wooded forest on both sides. The lake is crystal clear; filled with freshwater clams, crayfish, and a variety of fish to catch for meals. The view overlooking the lake from our balcony was amazing, and there are several loons that live on this lake to enjoy watching and listening to. We enjoyed our last evening watching the stars and making smores over the firepit just off the porch, where firewood was kindly left for our use. The kayaks were perfect for us to explore the lake and to see the wildlife (an otter, several bird species, turtles, frogs, and fish jumping.) Scott and Cathy did a beautiful job of decorating the cabin, and everything was very clean. This place is a hidden gem, and we truly loved our stay at this cabin. We hope to visit again next year.

So thankful for the oppertunity at lake life. Beautiful home inside and out. The lake veiw was beautiful and fishing was fun!

Time with family was precious at the cabin. The owners thought of the finer details to make the stay comfortable. Extra things like a fridge in the screen patio great for waters and other beverages that would have crowded the kitchen fridge. Scott was very thoughtful, he notified us the day before our visit that the previous guest said the can opener was broken and Scott wouldn’t be able to replace it before our stay. We would have been stuck out in the middle of the woods if it wasn’t for his thoughtfulness. As many have mentioned, the kayaks and fire pit were great to have, many hours were spent enjoying them. Loved the family of loons that came by daily and don’t forget your bug spray! The black flies gave us a challenge. Definitely recommend this Northwoods cabin!!
