We stayed here for two nights, we had breakfast included which was really tasty. Great staff and we stayed for dinner one night, the food was lovely and the portions were massive! The location is everything you’d wish for as you are in the centre of Yorks busy streets. A great spot for a city getaway, we can’t wait to come back.

The room was totally gorgeous with even a view of the Minster from a tiny window. The other window looked out onto the eaves of York and it was so lovely and peaceful we didn’t hear any noise at all, amazing given the hotel’s fantastic location slap bang in the historic centre of York. It really matched up to how good it looked in the photos. The welcome shortbread was so buttery and delicious and the bath was just as good as it looks in the photos with loads of lovely hot water. We had absolutely everything we needed and it was really cosy and the bed was comfy with lovely bedding. We loved the flair and quirky design of this beautiful hotel and the guest guide book tips were really helpful. Please note you cannot park outside this hotel to drop your stuff off, so pack lightly, plus overnight parking is really expensive, so definitely better to leave the car behind!
